THEATRE ON WHEELS
"Theater on wheels" is a student group of the University of Verona promoting theater activities.
It arose in 2016 from a synergy between some students of the Inclusion and Accessibility Unit at the University of Verona, its director Nicoletta Vicentini and Professor Massimo Salgaro from the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures.
Among our first supporters are: Giorgio Gosetti, Rector’s Delegate for the Right to Education and for Student Policies; Renata Castellani, member of the Inclusion and Accessibility Unit at the University of Verona; Professor Simona Brunetti and Professor Nicola Pasqualicchio from the Department of Culture and Civilization.
Our Theatre company, which is made up of students from the University of Verona, is sponsored by the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures and the Department of Culture and Civilization.
ABOUT
We are a group of students with a common goal: doing theater and having fun.
Our name "Theater on Wheels" has certainly intrigued you: if, on the one hand, the word "wheels" can make you think of disability (in the group there are actors with disabilities and therefore forced to use a wheelchair), on the other it refers to the gearwheels of our brains, which keep turning to give vent to creativity.
Our wheels are the cogs of imagination, which are at the heart of our activity.
WHAT WE DO TOGETHER
We meet each other – in the true sense of the word – thanks to theater, games, and improvisations.
We meet every Wednesday (the timetable varies according to our lessons at the University...) in the gym of the former Ursuline convent in via Paradiso for an intense hour and a half in which we work on many fundamental aspects of acting, from voice to improvisation, from knowing our body to learning how to move.

A COMPANY IN SEARCH OF A NAME
“A company in search of a name” is the first performance presented by the Theatre on Wheels.
MISSION
We do not follow any particular philosophy; we think that having fun and doing theater are the best inclusive methods.
HOW TO JOIN IN
To become part of our world it is enough to be university students and have a passion for, or at least the desire to try, acting.
We meet on Wednesday mornings (with variable timetables each semester) in the gym of the former Ursuline convent.
The gym where we meet is located in Via Paradiso, the Italian word for “Heaven,” do you think it is a coincidence?
We are waiting for you, participation is free, just contact Nicoletta.
